Anthony Prisco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosimo Juliano in the 5th minute of the match. Cosimo Juliano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Anthony Prisco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosimo Juliano in the 12th minute of play forced San Mauro Torinese's goalkeeper Anthony Prisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosimo Juliano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Anthony Prisco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Modena's Anthony Prisco threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrea De Bettin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alex Campitelli charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Campitelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Campitelli hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Fausto Menichini could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Anthony Prisco however easily saved by the left post. Franco Domenghini lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Emanuele Taurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Senatore having to interfere. Concetto Senatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damiano Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrea De Bettin during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Modena's Andrea De Bettin got a free kick in the 41st minute. Concetto Senatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuele Taurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute, Modena's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Damiano Basso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in San Mauro Torinese's zone, Angelo Rosato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Prisco came out of the goal and Angelo Rosato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fausto Menichini came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Modena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Menichini couldn't finish the play. Andrea De Bettin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fausto Menichini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Menichini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Modena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Manzoli to maneuver through the defense. Concetto Senatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Basso in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Modena's Cosimo Juliano got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Cosimo Mandelli came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Modena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosimo Mandelli couldn't finish the play. San Mauro Torinese's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
