If Fulvio Corvasce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulvio Corvasce struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ettore Ali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vasia FC. Ciro Palma took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ettore Ali. Tiorre FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Alberigo Martini fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiorre FC's protests and gave Alberigo Martini a yellow card for diving instead. Dino Pozzoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arrigo Simeoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Ali having to interfere. Ettore Ali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Simeoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Fulvio Corvasce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Ettore Ali made a huge save. If Fulvio Corvasce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasia FC's goalkeeper Alberigo Di Rado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Fausto Mussi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberigo Di Rado came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Tiorre FC's Bruno Cirone. But to his dismay, Bruno Cirone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 52nd match minute, Vasia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Giardini to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 56 minutes, Dino Pozzoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tiorre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Pozzoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dino Pozzoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alberigo Di Rado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Tiorre FC booed when Vasia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Valerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ettore Ali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulvio Corvasce in the 63rd minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Fulvio Corvasce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulvio Corvasce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fulvio Corvasce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Ali having to interfere. Comunardo Giardini kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Dino Pozzoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiorre FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Pozzoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Di Rado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bruno Cirone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Comunardo Giardini lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the final whistle sounded Tiorre FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vasia FC.
