But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmine Di Bartolo couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Villa Cheloni's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Di Bartolo came free, but Francesco Palomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Rivale FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Montaldi to maneuver through the defense. Rivale FC's Cesare Caporale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Rivale FC from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Alvaro Pompilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Caporale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Rivale FC's Carmine Di Bartolo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francesco Palomba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amos Montaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Palomba having to interfere. Cesare Caporale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Pompilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvaro Pompilio to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Rivale FC got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Campo. Cesare Caporale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Pompilio in the 54th minute of the match. Carmine Di Bartolo succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Cesare Caporale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesare Cruciani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesco Palomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Di Bartolo in the 71st minute of play. Alvaro Pompilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cesare Cruciani scored 1-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesare Caporale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Villa Cheloni getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ciro Brambilla hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Cesare Cruciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesare Caporale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Pompilio in the 88th minute of play. If Cesare Cruciani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute, Elia Bergamini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Armin Barresi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rivale FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villa Cheloni the free kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
