Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Domenico Censi got the match started through his kick off. Cotignola's Alex Albertosi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Cavallucci in the 9th minute of play. Anselmo De Tommasi was a little too slow when Francesco Colasante got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cotignola's Alex Albertosi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Berardinelli in the 17th minute of play. Francesco Colasante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Anselmo De Tommasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Marcellise FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Censi came free, but Anselmo De Tommasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Bruno Porta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo De Tommasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Censi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Marcellise FC's Bruno Porta got a free kick in the 29th minute. Anselmo De Tommasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenico Censi, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Andrea Pinti fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marcellise FC's protests and gave Andrea Pinti a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cotignola booed when Marcellise FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrea Pinti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Cotignola's Francesco Colasante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anselmo De Tommasi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anselmo De Tommasi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francesco Colasante in the 38th minute. Fabiano Cavallucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 45th match minute, Cotignola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Rinaldi to maneuver through the defense. Alex Albertosi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Cavallucci in the 46th minute of the match. Ettore Colasante hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Carlo Berardinelli made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Rinaldi in the 52nd minute of play forced Marcellise FC's goalkeeper Anselmo De Tommasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Marcellise FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Censi came free, but Anselmo De Tommasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Colasante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo De Tommasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Colasante in the 63rd minute of play. Francesco Colasante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo De Tommasi having to interfere. Francesco Colasante got in the 69th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Anselmo De Tommasi handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Marcellise FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Censi came free, but Anselmo De Tommasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Albertosi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Berardinelli in the 75th minute of play. After 79 minutes, Fabiano Cavallucci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marcellise FC and the Cotignola players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angelo Catucci charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Catucci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cotignola! In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Marcellise FC. Fedele Iacovacci stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alex Albertosi. 1-1. In the 89th minute, Domenico Censi made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo De Tommasi. Marcellise FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Fabiano Cavallucci scored 2-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Albertosi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 99th minute of the match Angelo Catucci sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anselmo De Tommasi skillfully saved the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
