Emilio Pantani came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Montorfano AFC's Aldo Polidori. But to his dismay, Aldo Polidori quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 19 played minutes Forcellini's Damiano Lemme stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Arturo Toppi stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Montorfano AFC of the goal. If Eugenio Trotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Montorfano AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto De Leonardis to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the game, Aldo Polidori recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilio Pantani. Aldo Polidori showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Arturo Toppi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damiano Lemme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
