Alberto Gallucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Anselmo Di Carlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Galluccis short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Anselmo Di Carlo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eraldo Caiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Arturo Toppi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Di Carlo made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Alberto Gallucci sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 17 minutes, Aldo Polidori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montorfano AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Polidori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Ramundo in the 20th minute of play forced Montorfano AFC's goalkeeper Arturo Toppi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Gallucci struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Anselmo Di Carlo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montorfano AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Malborghetto Di Boara's zone, Aldo Polidori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Di Carlo came out of the goal and Aldo Polidori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Aldo Polidori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Toppi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Ramundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Angelo Ramundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldo Polidori's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Di Carlo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Angelo Ramundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Toppi having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aldo Polidori made a kick off. Aldo Polidori took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Di Carlo. Anselmo Di Carlo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Aldo Polidori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Di Carlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Polidori in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Aldo Polidori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Malborghetto Di Boara's Armin Colaneri got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute Alberto Gallucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Di Carlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes, Alberto Gallucci made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Malborghetto Di Boara's Anselmo Di Carlo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Concetto De Leonardis's late challenge caught a Malborghetto Di Boara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Concetto De Leonardis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Montorfano AFC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Concetto De Leonardis hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Armin Colaneri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malborghetto Di Boara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Angelo Ramundo in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arturo Toppi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Malborghetto Di Boara's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
