Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Malcontenta's Franco Lizzi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arasì FC's Antonio Petrocchi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Arasì FC from getting a goal against them. In the 6th match minute, Malcontenta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Buffone to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Anselmo Maio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Petrocchi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anselmo Lepori. The supporters of Malcontenta booed when Arasì FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvise Campese didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Franco Lizzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Petrocchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Di Muzio kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Arasì FC defense, Antonello Scutti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Petrocchi. The Arasì FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Petrocchi should have stopped the shot. Demetrio Saturno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Palma having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Amerigo Pich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franco Lizzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Scutti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Petrocchi having to interfere. Demetrio Saturno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Palma having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Demetrio Saturno was the one to do the kick off. Edoardo Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Saturno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amerigo Pich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Arasì FC defense, Franco Lizzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Petrocchi. Edoardo Palma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio Saturno, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Malcontenta's zone, Amerigo Pich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edoardo Palma came out of the goal and Amerigo Pich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edoardo Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Saturno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amerigo Pich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Edoardo Palma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Malcontenta! When the match had been going on for 79 minutes, Arasì FC's Anselmo Maio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edoardo Palma. Antonello Scutti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Alessandro Buffone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Malcontenta got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Panico. Demetrio Saturno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Palma having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Arasì FC's Demetrio Saturno in the 96th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Edoardo Palma was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Malcontenta through an amazing save. Amerigo Pich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Palma having to interfere. Many of Arasì FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Arasì FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Malcontenta were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
