Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Franco Lizzi kicked off to start the match. Carmine Raniolo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armin Briganti. Sestri Ponente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sestri Ponente's goalkeeper Armin Briganti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Dino Clementi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Malcontenta's Edoardo Palma. Edoardo Palma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Malcontenta getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bernardo Panico hit a great ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malcontenta's goalkeeper Edoardo Palma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Malcontenta's Edoardo Palma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Malcontenta from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Sestri Ponente's Angelo Del Pizzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edoardo Palma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernardo Panico hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Angelo Del Pizzo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Edoardo Palma to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Sestri Ponente's Anfilogino Marinetti got a free kick in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Del Pizzo in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edoardo Palma saved Malcontenta from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelo Del Pizzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Sestri Ponente's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Franco Lizzi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 69 minutes into the match, Malcontenta's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Del Pizzo came free, but Edoardo Palma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edoardo Palma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Del Pizzo in the 70th minute of the match. Franco Lizzi struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Armin Briganti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malcontenta. Antonello Scutti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armin Briganti having to interfere. A collision led to Sestri Ponente getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Fedele Punta hit a great ball. The supporters of Malcontenta booed when Sestri Ponente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Passalacqua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franco Lizzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sestri Ponente booed when Malcontenta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Panico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edoardo Palma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dino Clementi went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Armin Briganti made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Antonello Scutti sent off a good shot on target. Franco Lizzi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Malcontenta's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sestri Ponente fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malcontenta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
