Alberigo Mazzola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Giacomozzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demetrio Colangelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Iannone having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Luciana's goal looked a bit too open when Demetrio Colangelo came free, but Alessandro Iannone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Luciana's Christian Giacomozzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberigo Mazzola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlo Di Gaetano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Alessandro Iannone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Scacciano's Demetrio Colangelo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessandro Iannone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Carlo Di Gaetano came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Scacciano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Di Gaetano couldn't finish the play. Alessandro Iannone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio Colangelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Demetrio Colangelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scacciano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luciana the free kick. The supporters of Luciana booed when Scacciano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demetrio Colangelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alessandro Iannone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlo Di Gaetano in the 38th minute. If Christian Giacomozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amos Ciaccia kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When Carlo Di Gaetano came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Scacciano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Di Gaetano couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Demetrio Colangelo to strike the kick off in the second half. Alessandro Iannone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Demetrio Colangelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Demetrio Colangelo in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessandro Iannone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alessandro Iannone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Di Gaetano in the 78th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Christian Giacomozzi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 84 played minutes Scacciano got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Checchia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Giacomozzi in the 95th minute of play forced Scacciano's goalkeeper Alberigo Mazzola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Scacciano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Luciana had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
