Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Felice Cardano got the match started through his kick off. Amedeo Corleone was extremely unlucky when he, in the 3rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gerre Basse FC's Frank Di Toro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Cardano in the 4th minute of play. When Amedeo Corleone came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the San Giorgio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Corleone couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the game, Gerre Basse FC's Cristoforo Testi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Biagio Di Placido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Frank Di Toro made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Amedeo Corleone sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute of the match, Amedeo Corleone got a very nice opportunity to score, but Frank Di Toro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Amerigo Bonelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amerigo Bonelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Biagio Di Placido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Bonelli in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gerre Basse FC! Alex Guaita walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amedeo Corleone got free with Frank Di Toro in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Felice Cardano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Di Toro was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Cristoforo Testi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Biagio Di Placido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Gerre Basse FC's Frank Di Toro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Gerre Basse FC from getting a goal against them. San Giorgio's Concetto Gervasi suffered a sore thigh after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Cristoforo Testi fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gerre Basse FC's protests and gave Cristoforo Testi a yellow card for diving instead. The San Giorgio players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gerre Basse FC were winning 0-1.

In the 53rd minute, Dennis Serantoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Biagio Di Placido was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ettore Carrea. A collision led to San Giorgio getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Bernardo Giacomozzi hit a great ball. Cristoforo Testi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Gerre Basse FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Corleone came free, but Frank Di Toro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amedeo Corleone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Di Toro having to interfere. If Bernardo Giacomozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Amedeo Corleone managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Giorgio's supporters rose to their feet, but Amedeo Corleone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Di Toro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Oberrauch during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Franco Oberrauch hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gerre Basse FC's zone, Amedeo Corleone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Di Toro came out of the goal and Amedeo Corleone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amedeo Corleone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Federico Ronca fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gerre Basse FC's protests and gave Federico Ronca a yellow card for diving instead. Alex Guaita kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Gerre Basse FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 93rd minute of the game, when Alex Piacente after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of San Giorgio's goal. Alex Piacente was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Biagio Di Placido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Testi in the 95th minute of the match. After 96 minutes, Dennis Serantoni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Giorgio and the Gerre Basse FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dennis Serantoni kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Gerre Basse FC's Biagio Di Placido threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristoforo Testi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The San Giorgio supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gerre Basse FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Gerre Basse FC.
