An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Grieco in the 15th minute of play forced Salboro AFC's goalkeeper Fulvio Brandini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salboro AFC's Fulvio Brandini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Salboro AFC from getting a goal against them. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. There was no doubt that Puglia were the better team. Puglia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
