The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Franco Antonangeli kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Fedele Di Rocco, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Modolena FC's Emanuele Piccini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessandro Canuto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Dennis Piano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Pasquino having to interfere. Alessandro Pasquino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Piano in the 27th minute. If Dennis Piano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes Saliceto Panaro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Nardone. In the 32nd minute, Franco Antonangeli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Modolena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Santucci came free, but Alessandro Pasquino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Pasquino made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Dennis Piano sent off a good shot on target. When Emanuele Piccini came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Modolena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuele Piccini couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ennio Tesone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Modolena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ennio Tesone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Canuto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Saliceto Panaro AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Modolena FC were winning 0-1.

With a little luck, Saliceto Panaro AFC's Alessandro Canuto got control of the ball when Ermanno Maccarone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emanuele Piccini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Canuto having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Modolena FC's Ermanno Maccarone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessandro Canuto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Modolena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Piano came free, but Alessandro Pasquino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Pasquino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Santucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Alex Gregori suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 68 minutes into the game, Ennio Tesone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Modolena FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saliceto Panaro AFC the free kick. Ennio Tesone kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Claudio Bardella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Piano struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Alessandro Pasquino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saliceto Panaro AFC. 88 minutes into the game, Augusto Santucci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saliceto Panaro AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Modolena FC the free kick. Augusto Santucci kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 91 minutes Saliceto Panaro AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fedele Toninelli who took care of the corner kick. Modolena FC's Fedele Toninelli was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alessandro Canuto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Dennis Piano came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Saliceto Panaro AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Piano couldn't finish the play. Franco Antonangeli's late challenge caught a Saliceto Panaro AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franco Antonangeli helped the player get up and apologised. Franco Antonangeli hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Although Saliceto Panaro AFC had been in control for most of the match, Modolena FC still came away with the win.
