Eugenio Mercuri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Demetrio Loreto. Borgo Fusara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ciro Poletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Poletti struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Demetrio Loreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tufello. Alfonso Spione sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Garofalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Demetrio Loreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, one of Tufello:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tufello. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for Borgo Fusara. Dave Cardella stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Demetrio Pellicciotta. 0-1. Demetrio Loreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Poletti went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alfonso Spione struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Demetrio Pellicciotta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borgo Fusara. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Edmondo Guarrera made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Borgo Fusara's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Poletti came free, but Demetrio Loreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Garofalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demetrio Loreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Poletti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Antonio Basile fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgo Fusara's protests and gave Antonio Basile a yellow card for diving instead. During the 73rd minute of the match Ferdinando Altobelli completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ferdinando Altobelli a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tufello fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Demetrio Pellicciotta, was totally fooled by Borgo Fusara's Dave Cardella, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Demetrio Pellicciotta made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Alfonso Spione sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Edmondo Guarrera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borgo Fusara's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmondo Guarrera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demetrio Pellicciotta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Demetrio Loreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Poletti in the 86th minute of the match. Ciro Poletti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Demetrio Loreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tufello's Cristoforo Cangiano got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
