Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Arcugnano FC's Damiano Latini started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the match, Borgo Fusara's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Sammartino came free, but Demetrio Loreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damiano Sammartino might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Demetrio Loreto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damiano Sammartino ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Borgo Fusara getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Concetto Di Maria hit a great ball. Ennio Barducci was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Concetto Di Maria kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Arcugnano FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Eraldo Colombi hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Arcugnano FC's Achille Pasquino got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Antonio Basile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eraldo Colombi charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eraldo Colombi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Arcugnano FC got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Colombi. Damiano Latini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Spione got free with Arturo Sebastiani in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Arcugnano FC! After a defensive mix-up in Arcugnano FC's zone, Edmondo Guarrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Sebastiani came out of the goal and Edmondo Guarrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmondo Guarrera to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Damiano Latini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Demetrio Loreto. That made the score 1-1 in the 57 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amedeo Fabrizi during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Borgo Fusara's Amedeo Fabrizi got a free kick in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damiano Latini in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demetrio Loreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Achille Pasquino hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Alfonso Spione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Sebastiani having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Borgo Fusara's Alfonso Spione made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arturo Sebastiani was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 73rd match minute, Borgo Fusara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Teti to maneuver through the defense. Damiano Sammartino made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 74thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Demetrio Loreto would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. If Alfonso Spione had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borgo Fusara's Dave Cardella suffered a concussion in the 82nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 82 minutes, Damiano Sammartino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arcugnano FC and the Borgo Fusara players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Arcugnano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Sammartino to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Spione received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Arturo Sebastiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Borgo Fusara's Alfonso Spione in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arcugnano FC's goalie prevented a goal. 94 minutes into the match, Alfonso Spione notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Arcugnano FC's Arturo Sebastiani. Arturo Sebastiani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Borgo Fusara's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
