Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mazzo's Dino Palmieri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Bruno Caccavale fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmaro FC's protests and gave Bruno Caccavale a yellow card for diving instead. 7 minutes into the game, one of Palmaro FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Mazzo. Fortunato Di Tommaso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eugenio Chizzo. 0-1. Corrado Aversa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Antonio Di Gregorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Di Gregorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Burgnich, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Achille Bonfigli charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Achille Bonfigli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Mazzo got a freekick which was hit by Achille Bonfigli. 21 minutes into the game, Cristiano Colaussi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Antonio Di Gregorio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Davide Ferreri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Dino Palmieri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Cristiano Colaussi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Di Gregorio. Mazzo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Colaussi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Davide Ferreri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Colaussi to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Mazzo's Eugenio Chizzo threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dino Palmieri, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Davide Ferreri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Chizzo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davide Ferreri got free with Eugenio Chizzo in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Dino Palmieri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eugenio Chizzo. That made the score 2-2 in the 66 minute of play. Eugenio Chizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Bonfigli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Palmieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Eugenio Chizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palmaro FC's Eugenio Chizzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Palmaro FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 81 minutes, Cristiano Colaussi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmaro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Colaussi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristiano Colaussi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mazzo getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Bernardo Angelici hit a great ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmaro FC's goalkeeper Eugenio Chizzo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franco Rapone took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugenio Chizzo. Eugenio Chizzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The Palmaro FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mazzo's performance. The match ended with a win for Mazzo.
