Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elia Maestri started the match with the kick off. Formigine FC's Elia Antognoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio Di Tullio in the 3rd minute of play. A hard shot 4 in the game by Alfonso Melucci from a close distance when the talented Arrigo Villa managed to make a qualified save. Boccadifalco's players were relieved. Antonio Montagna was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. Formigine FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 9 minutes into the match, Boccadifalco's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Montagna came free, but Arrigo Villa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Montagna in the 11th minute of play forced Boccadifalco's goalkeeper Arrigo Villa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Alfonso Melucci could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Arrigo Villa however easily saved by the left post. Alfonso Melucci struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Arrigo Villa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formigine FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Desiderio during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Armando Desiderio hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Arrigo Villa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Melucci in the 27th minute. Demetrio Di Tullio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elia Antognoni having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Formigine FC's Antonio Montagna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arrigo Villa. Arrigo Villa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Elia Maestri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boccadifalco's supporters rose to their feet, but Elia Maestri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elia Antognoni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dario Zappacosta fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formigine FC's protests and gave Dario Zappacosta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Dario Zappacosta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demetrio Di Tullio struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Elia Antognoni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boccadifalco. Elia Antognoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Maestri in the 44th minute of play. Alvise Pallotta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Montagna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Formigine FC's Elia Antognoni got control of the ball when Demetrio Di Tullio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elia Antognoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Maestri in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes of play, Formigine FC's Alfonso Melucci made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arrigo Villa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Elia Nicolo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elia Antognoni. That made the score 2-1 in the 60 minute of play. Elia Maestri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Elia Antognoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Formigine FC's Elia Antognoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elia Maestri in the 65th minute of play. Elia Maestri in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elia Antognoni, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. During the 73rd minute of the match Armando Desiderio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Armando Desiderio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Formigine FC booed when Boccadifalco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Desiderio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Antonio Montagna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Villa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Montagna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Demetrio Di Tullio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Formigine FC's zone, Demetrio Di Tullio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elia Antognoni came out of the goal and Demetrio Di Tullio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ferruccio Presutti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Boccadifalco's Elia Nicolo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Boccadifalco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
