Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Amos Boldrini started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute of the match Brisighella got a corner. Sarzano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enzo Mirto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Brisighella's Bianco Mangione getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Amos Boldrini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Concetto Bonfigli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Di Paolo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Fabiano Di Paolo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Concetto Bonfigli in the 13th minute. Amos Boldrini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Amos Boldrini came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sarzano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Boldrini couldn't finish the play. Amos Boldrini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Di Paolo having to interfere. The supporters of Brisighella booed when Sarzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferruccio Mazzini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Bianchini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Della Rocca in the 34th minute of play. Emiliano Cavallaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Bianchini having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Emiliano Cavallaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ferruccio Mazzini fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarzano's protests and gave Ferruccio Mazzini a yellow card for diving instead. Ferruccio Mazzini kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Enzo Mirto struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Aldo Bianchini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brisighella. When Enrico Della Rocca came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Brisighella fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrico Della Rocca couldn't finish the play. If Enrico Della Rocca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 65th match minute, Sarzano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Carbonaro to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Brisighella's Enzo Mirto tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Concetto Bonfigli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Concetto Bonfigli came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Sarzano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Concetto Bonfigli couldn't finish the play. Fedele Raimondi's late challenge caught a Sarzano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fedele Raimondi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Brisighella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Raimondi to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Di Paolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Loreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Amos Boldrini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabiano Di Paolo was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
