In the 20th match minute, Santuario FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Saraceni to maneuver through the defense. A hard and well directed shot from Cosimo Picciano led 20 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Santuario FC's Arrigo Villa became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-0. Fortunato Basilicos short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Arrigo Villa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ferdinando Aversa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Arrigo Villa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arrigo Villa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex De Feo in the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Sandolo booed when Santuario FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinando Del Vecchio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes, Fedele Lupi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santuario FC and the Sandolo players grew even worse after the yellow card. 39 minutes into the game, one of Santuario FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fortunato Basilico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex De Feo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferdinando Aversa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Eraldo Spagnuolo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Allemandi during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eraldo Spagnuolo came out of the goal and Ferdinando Aversa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd match minute, Santuario FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Topatigh to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match Cosimo Picciano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arrigo Villa skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Armando Magliocco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eraldo Spagnuolo. That made the score 2-1 in the 76 minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Sandolo's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Magliocco came free, but Eraldo Spagnuolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Armando Magliocco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santuario FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Magliocco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
