The referee ignored Bolzaneto AFC's protests and gave Ciccio Bernardini a yellow card for diving instead. 31 minutes into the game, one of Bolzaneto AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Franco Porcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolzaneto AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Franco Porcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvise Malvezzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvise Malvezzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Borrelli went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Borgo Isonzo AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bolzaneto AFC were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Monzeglio to make the kick off. The Bolzaneto AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
