The referee ignored Guizza FC's protests and gave Demetrio Busillo a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Guizza FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gardolo Di Mezzo:s goal. Carmine Antonelli shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Arrigo Facchetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Federico Di Florio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alberto Casciano, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Arrigo Facchetti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gardolo Di Mezzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Arrigo Facchetti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Casciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guizza FC's Alberto Casciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Di Florio in the 34th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Di Florio was the one to do the kick off. If Angelo Caccia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
