Anfilogino Vida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andrea Luciani. Verghera's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emilio Caccavale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fulvio Spada made a kick off. Achille Juliano hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Emanuele Ubriaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Luciani having to interfere. Fulvio Spada had several of the Induno Olona FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Biagio Gervasi as he didn't even see the shot coming. Fulvio Spada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 74th match minute, Verghera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Juliano to maneuver through the defense. When Emilio Caccavale came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Induno Olona FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Caccavale couldn't finish the play. Andrea Luciani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Ubriaco in the 77th minute of the match. Alessio Gaeta's late challenge caught a Verghera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A hard shot by Achille Juliano from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Biagio Gervasi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Verghera booed when Induno Olona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Passalacqua didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Verghera's Fulvio Spada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Biagio Gervasi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Verghera eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
