Fabrizio Piccini's late challenge caught a Bolzano Bozen AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrizio Piccini helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Malborghetto Di Boara's Fabrizio Piccini got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes Malborghetto Di Boara got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Petrocchi. Camillo Varglien stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonello Iannotti's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Iannotti in the 21st minute of play forced Bolzano Bozen AFC's goalkeeper Camillo Varglien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camillo Varglien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonello Iannotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonello Iannotti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonello Iannotti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Varglien having to interfere. Diego Bergomi charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Bergomi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Bolzano Bozen AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Malborghetto Di Boara:s goal. Alexander Petrocchi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Varglien having to interfere.

Malborghetto Di Boara's Franco Di Gaetano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Donatelli in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Davide Belardi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malborghetto Di Boara and the Bolzano Bozen AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Malborghetto Di Boara getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Davide Belardi hit a great ball. After 61 minutes of play, Bolzano Bozen AFC's Dave Donatelli made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Di Gaetano was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Malborghetto Di Boara getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Fabrizio Piccini hit a great ball. Eugenio Buccella hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Aldo Pietrantoni kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the game, Eugenio Buccella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolzano Bozen AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malborghetto Di Boara the free kick. Eugenio Buccella kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Antonello Iannotti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malborghetto Di Boara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Iannotti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
