Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Beppe Signori made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the game, Bianco Sessa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limidi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spizzichino AFC the free kick. After 3 played minutes Limidi FC got a freekick which was hit by Bianco Sessa. Domenico Pozzoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fulvio Sciotto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corrado Albertosi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Sciotto having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Armando Papa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabio Aversano, passed just outside the right post. Armando Papa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fabio Aversano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Beppe Signori's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Aversano was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Claudio Graziani charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Graziani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudio Graziani hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Fabio Aversano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Signori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Spizzichino AFC's zone, Beppe Signori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Aversano came out of the goal and Beppe Signori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Beppe Signori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Anthony Giorda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Spizzichino AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limidi FC the free kick. After 41 played minutes Spizzichino AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Giorda. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Limidi FC's Fulvio Sciotto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Limidi FC from getting a goal against them. Domenico Pozzoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Fulvio Sciotto made a huge save. In the 62nd play minute Domenico Pozzoli came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fulvio Sciotto. 0-1. 68 minutes in the game, Corrado Albertosi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fulvio Sciotto having to interfere. If Corrado Albertosi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corrado Albertosi in the 84th minute of play forced Limidi FC's goalkeeper Fulvio Sciotto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes of play, Spizzichino AFC's Domenico Pozzoli made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulvio Sciotto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Corrado Albertosi might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulvio Sciotto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corrado Albertosi ran back to his position shaking his head. The Spizzichino AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Spizzichino AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
