Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Viconovo AFC's Aurelio Borel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ennio Salerno hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Alex Riccardi charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Riccardi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes Viconovo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Riccardi. The long shot by Fabrizio Cieri in the 6th minute really tested Felice Campitelli's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Alex Riccardi hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Cosimo Di Meo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Borel in the 12th minute of play forced Sorbolo's goalkeeper Augusto Cannata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Finocchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Cannata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Borel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sorbolo booed when Viconovo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Rinaldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Cannata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Finocchi in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Bianco Caponera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Concetto Melis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Achille Cilli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice Campitelli having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Melis in the 47th minute of play forced Viconovo AFC's goalkeeper Felice Campitelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Concetto Melis to make the kick off. Viconovo AFC's Fausto Marchetti got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered Fausto Marchetti off the ground. A collision led to Viconovo AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Augusto Finocchi hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Viconovo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Borel. Felice Campitelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Cilli, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Achille Cilli in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felice Campitelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Sorbolo booed when Viconovo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Borel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Achille Cilli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The attack was good, but when Augusto Finocchi in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Viconovo AFC's Augusto Finocchi got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sorbolo's zone, Augusto Finocchi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Cannata came out of the goal and Augusto Finocchi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute Ermanno Sampo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felice Campitelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Viconovo AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sorbolo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
