Bernardo Malatesta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felice Campitelli. Viconovo AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bianco Pettinelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Ciccio Bonelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Modolena 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciccio Bonelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Modolena 's Bernardo Brandolini got control of the ball when Augusto Finocchi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciccio Bonelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Felice Campitelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Augusto Finocchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 played minutes Viconovo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Marchetti. After a rather tough play, Viconovo AFC's Alex Riccardi got a free kick in the 37th minute. Viconovo AFC's Felice Campitelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciccio Bonelli in the 38th minute of play. Augusto Finocchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute Ciccio Bonelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felice Campitelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 45 minutes, Ciccio Bonelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Borel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ciccio Bonelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Augusto Finocchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciccio Bonelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felice Campitelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Viconovo AFC's Fausto Marchetti got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Fausto Marchetti off the ground. In the 60th match minute, Viconovo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Marchetti to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ciccio Bonelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felice Campitelli was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Bernardo Malatesta charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Malatesta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Modolena ! The excitement rose when Viconovo AFC's Bernardo Aversa after 85 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Modolena 's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-0. 89 minutes into the game, one of Viconovo AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Armando Micucci took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felice Campitelli. Felice Campitelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Modolena 's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
