After a defensive mix-up in Galliano FC's zone, Cristoforo Improta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Biagio Colangelo came out of the goal and Cristoforo Improta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beppe Barbato to strike the kick off in the second half. Fausto Pallini charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Pallini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cesare Collovati was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felice Olivieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Biagio Colangelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Busovecchio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Barbato came free, but Cesare Collovati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galliano FC's Biagio Colangelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristoforo Improta in the 85th minute of play. Cristoforo Improta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Biagio Colangelo having to make a save. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Busovecchio FC's goalkeeper Cesare Collovati, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristoforo Improta in the 99th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Biagio Colangelo saved Galliano FC from getting behind. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
