Christian Vitucci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Maio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bellaria FC's zone, Antonello Tomasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmine Rosato came out of the goal and Antonello Tomasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damiano Tellini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Carmine Rosato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Montini during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bellaria FC's Anselmo Montini got a free kick in the 37th minute. Cogoleto's Andrea Danza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bellaria FC. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonello Tomasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Antonello Tomasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cogoleto's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Tomasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmine Rosato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Antonello Tomasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmine Rosato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonello Tomasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Christian Vitucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Armando Maio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes in the game, Christian Vitucci fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Armando Maio having to interfere. Alex Torelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Tomasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmine Rosato having to interfere. Cogoleto's Armando Maio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Vitucci in the 80th minute of play. Arturo Finocchio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armando Maio. Cogoleto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Christian Vitucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Maio having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cogoleto had won after a very even match.
