Filippo Tabacchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonello Tomasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to Bolzaneto AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Elia Bulla hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Damiano Tellini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Filippo Tabacchi managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Cogoleto's Damiano Tellini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th match minute, Bolzaneto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elia Bulla to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Ronconi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Cogoleto's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Catapano came free, but Armando Maio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Filippo Tabacchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Tellini in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bolzaneto AFC's zone, Damiano Tellini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filippo Tabacchi came out of the goal and Damiano Tellini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonello Tomasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Filippo Tabacchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonello Tomasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bolzaneto AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bolzaneto AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
