After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Damiano Puja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torretta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damiano Puja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davide Cavallucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmondo Ubriaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davide Cavallucci having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Edmondo Ubriaco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferdinando Paolini hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Torretta FC's Edmondo Ubriaco got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferdinando Paolini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aldo Palmisano. That made the score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Amerigo Ceccarelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aldo Palmisano. Torretta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amerigo Ceccarelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferdinando Paolini made a kick off. In the 54th minute Ferdinando Paolini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Palmisano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Valente during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Alberto Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aldo Palmisano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando Paolini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damiano Puja in the 58th minute of play forced Varlungo AFC's goalkeeper Davide Cavallucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Ceccarelli in the 67th minute of play forced Torretta FC's goalkeeper Aldo Palmisano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes Varlungo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Battisti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damiano Puja in the 76th minute of play forced Varlungo AFC's goalkeeper Davide Cavallucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso De Lellis's late challenge caught a Torretta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso De Lellis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, Varlungo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso De Lellis to maneuver through the defense. Damiano Puja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Davide Cavallucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Varlungo AFC's goalkeeper Davide Cavallucci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmondo Ubriaco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Ceccarelli in the 86th minute of play forced Torretta FC's goalkeeper Aldo Palmisano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmondo Ubriaco struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Davide Cavallucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torretta FC. Damiano Puja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
