Christian Chitarroni helped the player get up and apologised. Antonio Palma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Martelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Diego Benarrivo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Concetto Martelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taneto AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Concetto Martelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Diego Benarrivo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lesmo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taneto AFC the free kick. A collision led to Lesmo AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Diego Benarrivo hit a great ball. Alvaro Serra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Palma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno Ronconi in the 27th minute of the match. Alvaro Serra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Guaita having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Taneto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Corrado Marchegiani. Taneto AFC's Francesco Guaita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Taneto AFC from getting a goal against them. Antonio Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermanno Ronconi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Taneto AFC booed when Lesmo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attilio Di Iorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Lesmo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermanno Ronconi came free, but Antonio Palma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taneto AFC's Francesco Guaita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Taneto AFC from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvaro Serra to make the kick off. Francesco Guaita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Serra in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Concetto Martelli got free with Antonio Palma in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Rocchi during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Alvaro Serra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Alvaro Serra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Antonio Palma made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Concetto Martelli sent off a good shot on target.
