Bruno Piscopo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Enzo Biondi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Campodonica AFC's Claudio Vani got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Comunardo Del Nero might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enzo Biondi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Comunardo Del Nero ran back to his position shaking his head. When Beppe Maranzano came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Campodonica AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beppe Maranzano couldn't finish the play. Christian Primavera made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Claudio Vani sent off a good shot on target. Christian Primavera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Maranzano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beppe Maranzano in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Primavera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudio Vani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Christian Primavera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Vani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Comunardo Del Nero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Enzo Biondi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Comunardo Del Nero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Biondi having to interfere. Ettore Tripodi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Biondi having to interfere. Bruno Piscopo struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Enzo Biondi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arcella AFC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Comunardo Del Nero made a kick off. When Ettore Tripodi fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arcella AFC's protests and gave Ettore Tripodi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Ettore Tripodi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Claudio Vani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ettore Tripodi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Enzo Biondi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Comunardo Del Nero was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 83 played minutes Arcella AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Piscopo. After 91 played minutes Campodonica AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Caniglia. In the 92nd minute, Arcella AFC's Comunardo Del Nero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. If Beppe Maranzano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arcella AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
