Diego Lauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Ercole Petrocchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beppe Cavanna kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Cesare Farina took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carter Mazzini. Mompiano FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Antonio Carbonaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Asseggiano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Carbonaro came free, but Andrea Uguccioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrea Uguccioni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Di Gregorio in the 28th minute. Diego Lauro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carter Mazzini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Lauro in the 39th minute of play forced Mompiano FC's goalkeeper Carter Mazzini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Diego Lauro sped through Mompiano FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carter Mazzini. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Carbonaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antonio Carbonaro struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Andrea Uguccioni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mompiano FC. After having played for 61 minutes, Cosimo Caiola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asseggiano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosimo Caiola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Lauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Carter Mazzini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Asseggiano FC defense, Antonio Carbonaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrea Uguccioni. The Asseggiano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrea Uguccioni should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute, Armando Di Gregorio made a precise shot to the right of Andrea Uguccioni. Asseggiano FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 78 played minutes Asseggiano FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Napoleoni. The supporters of Asseggiano FC booed when Mompiano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beppe Cavanna didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cosimo Caiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ercole Petrocchi got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 86th minute, Ercole Petrocchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Asseggiano FC's Diego Lauro got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Asseggiano FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
