Beppe Giardino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

After some careless play in the Mezzeno defense, Ferruccio Santini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Di Nucci. The Mezzeno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Di Nucci should have stopped the shot. When Corrado Diana came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Dragoncello FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corrado Diana couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Corrado Diana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Di Nucci. Mezzeno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Corrado Diana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Mezzeno's Ciro Larizza got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Corrado Diana came up free with the goalie in the 101st minute, the Dragoncello FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corrado Diana couldn't finish the play.
