Muggio FC:s Carmine Carciofo showed great skill when he stopped Antonello Carozza:s penalty. After having played for 8 minutes, Fabio Delle Donne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tor Tre Ponti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Delle Donne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute Fabio Delle Donne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmine Carciofo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute Achille Mazzetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmine Carciofo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fabio Delle Donne, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 16 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Carmine Carciofo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Arrigo Pacella fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muggio FC's protests and gave Arrigo Pacella a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Muggio FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Arrigo Pacella hit a great ball. Alberto Pagliuca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Carmine Carciofo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muggio FC's Carmine Carciofo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Delle Donne in the 24th minute of play. Alberto Pagliuca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ennio Suriani got free with Alex Masi in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Alberto Pagliuca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carmine Carciofo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Muggio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Mazzetti came free, but Carmine Carciofo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Masi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ennio Suriani in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Di Luca in the 43rd minute of play forced Tor Tre Ponti's goalkeeper Alex Masi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Delle Donne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 48 minutes of play, Tor Tre Ponti's Fabio Delle Donne made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carmine Carciofo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Muggio FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tor Tre Ponti were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabio Delle Donne made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Pagliuca got free with Carmine Carciofo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Muggio FC's Cristoforo Ceci got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Muggio FC's goalkeeper Carmine Carciofo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Pagliuca. In the 59th match minute, Muggio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristoforo Ceci to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Pagliuca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alberto Pagliuca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Di Luzio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Tor Tre Ponti's Alex Masi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Di Luca in the 68th minute of play. Alessio Primavera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alex Masi. Tor Tre Ponti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 77th minute, Alberto Pagliuca made a precise shot to the right of Carmine Carciofo. Muggio FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 81 played minutes, Muggio FC's Alessio Primavera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alex Masi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Muggio FC reached it. If Fabio Delle Donne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alex Masi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Suriani in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tor Tre Ponti's Alvise Belardi got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 99 minutes into the match, Tor Tre Ponti's goal looked a bit too open when Ennio Suriani came free, but Alex Masi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Muggio FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tor Tre Ponti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
