After a rather tough play, Tor Tre Ponti's Beppe Trentini got a free kick in the 4th minute. Corrado Verdecchia was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Fabio Delle Donne capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabio Delle Donne really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Corrado Verdecchia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Pagliuca in the 13th minute. Corrado Verdecchia made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Alberto Pagliuca sent off a good shot on target. Bruno Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Alex Masi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Tor Tre Ponti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Mazzetti to maneuver through the defense. Corrado Verdecchia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Delle Donne's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Bruno Miranda struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Alex Masi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angeli FC. 24 minutes into the game, Angeli FC's Bruno Miranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Masi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Fabio Delle Donne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Tor Tre Ponti's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Miranda came free, but Alex Masi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Tor Tre Ponti's Alberto Pagliuca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Masi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuele Novella to make the kick off. Fortunato Puja's late challenge caught a Angeli FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fortunato Puja helped the player get up and apologised. If Bruno Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corrado Verdecchia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Corrado Verdecchia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille Mazzetti in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Emanuele Novella recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alex Masi. Emanuele Novella showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Alberto Pagliuca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bruno Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Tor Tre Ponti got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Di Luzio. With his leg Alex Masi managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Angeli FC's Bruno Miranda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alberto Pagliuca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Corrado Verdecchia having to make a save. In the 97th minute Fabio Delle Donne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Verdecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tor Tre Ponti fans cheered their team off the field, for while Angeli FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
