Ernesto Buffone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Polimeno in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Cruser's Amedeo Tornese sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Achille Como narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Ponzana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Albani to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes Cruser got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Placidi. 34 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ponzana's Alessandro Santucci fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Filippo Malatesta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Achille Como. That made the score 2-0 in the 46 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filippo Malatesta to make the kick off. Angelo Placidi kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Eraldo Polimeno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Buffone having to make a save. Cruser's Filippo Malatesta got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippo Malatesta in the 65th minute of play forced Ponzana's goalkeeper Achille Como to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amedeo Tornese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Filippo Malatesta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Como saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cruser's Bruno Scevola got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Cruser's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alessandro Santucci fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Achille Como took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Tornese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filippo Malatesta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Como having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cruser had won after a very even match.
