The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eugenio Di Giandomenico hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Fortunato Scutti came out of the goal and Antonello Di Felice tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Achille Cabrini kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When Adriano Romanese fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cassina Nuova's protests and gave Adriano Romanese a yellow card for diving instead. Adriano Romanese hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Rovello Porro's Alvise Felice broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Fabrizio Talamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Scutti having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Rovello Porro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Felice to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Cassina Nuova's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinando Giammaria came free, but Ettore Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Antonio Bonsignore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Rovello Porro's Alvise Felice tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Fabrizio Talamo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Fabrizio Talamo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adriano Romanese was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinando Giammaria in the 36th minute of play forced Cassina Nuova's goalkeeper Ettore Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cassina Nuova getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Fabrizio Talamo hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Alvise Felice sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cassina Nuova's Ettore Miranda didn't even have to move. After having played for 46 minutes, Armin Campo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rovello Porro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armin Campo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 49th minute, Armin Campo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Antonello Di Felice might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fortunato Scutti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonello Di Felice ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th minute, Antonio Bonsignore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rovello Porro's Armin Campo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Rovello Porro getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Franco Fiorentino hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Anselmo Buccella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armin Campo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Ettore Miranda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ferdinando Giammaria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ettore Miranda came out and tried to block the shot, but Ferdinando Giammaria slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 72nd minute. Ettore Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando Giammaria in the 76th minute of play. If Armin Campo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armin Campo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Miranda having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Cassina Nuova's Antonello Di Felice sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fortunato Scutti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antonello Di Felice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd match minute, Rovello Porro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Cesarini to maneuver through the defense. If Antonello Di Felice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Fiorentino during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ciccio Bonanni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fortunato Scutti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 100th minute of play. When the match was over Rovello Porro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cassina Nuova throughout the match.
