Dino Battisti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Adriano Conte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fedele Biagetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fortunato Lazzaro came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Balzarine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fortunato Lazzaro couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the match, Balzarine's Fortunato Lazzaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fedele Biagetti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute of the match Aldo Nanni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fedele Biagetti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Fortunato Lazzaro came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Balzarine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fortunato Lazzaro couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Balzarine's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Palladino came free, but Dino Battisti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Balzarine getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Achille Campoli hit a great ball. Fabiano Pizziolo's late challenge caught a Viarolo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Pizziolo helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Balzarine! Dino Battisti had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Enzo Pettinelli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 39th minute, Enzo Pettinelli made a precise shot to the right of Dino Battisti. Balzarine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Fortunato Lazzaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Palladino to make the kick off. Balzarine's Dino Battisti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Palladino in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Palladino in the 53rd minute of play forced Balzarine's goalkeeper Dino Battisti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fortunato Lazzaro in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fedele Biagetti saved Viarolo FC from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Augusto Colantoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino Battisti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Palladino in the 80th minute of the match.
