The audience was convinced that Flavio Musacchio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Rigoni was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, San Maurízio FC's goalkeeper Christian Rigoni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Odisio. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio De Toni during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alessandro Maldini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Alberico having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davide De Toni was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Diego Odisio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viganego AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Fortunato Ranieri charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fortunato Ranieri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Viganego AFC's Fortunato Ranieri got a free kick in the 54th minute. Angelo Scarcella, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Armando Clementi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide De Toni in the 81st minute of play forced Viganego AFC's goalkeeper Fedele Alberico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Emilio De Donatis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Maldini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Alberico having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Viganego AFC had won after a very even match.
