The referee ignored Sorgenti Acqua Claudia FC's protests and gave Francesco Pozzoli a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Sorgenti Acqua Claudia FC got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Pozzoli. Comunardo Castrucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Comunardo Castrucci's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Dennis Dossena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Comunardo Castrucci, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 11 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dennis Dossena was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 13 minutes, Comunardo Castrucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mortise's supporters crossed their fingers, but Comunardo Castrucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fulvio Alfonsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Comunardo Castrucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Dossena having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Ennio Lucentini lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Dennis Dossena. After a defensive mix-up in Mortise's zone, Alex Padula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Cacciatore came out of the goal and Alex Padula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Sorgenti Acqua Claudia FC's Alex Padula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Cacciatore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Alex Padula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Fulvio Alfonsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Cacciatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Padula in the 43rd minute of play forced Mortise's goalkeeper Alberto Cacciatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Alex Padula left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sorgenti Acqua Claudia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Padula in the 56th minute of play forced Mortise's goalkeeper Alberto Cacciatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fulvio Alfonsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Alex Padula managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorgenti Acqua Claudia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Padula was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Cacciatore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 played minutes Mortise got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Dossena. Mortise's Alberto Cacciatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Mortise from getting a goal against them. 97 minutes into the game, Ennio Lucentini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Dennis Dossena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
