A collision led to Mortaiolo AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Dario Garofalo hit a great ball. Achille Vani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Morini, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Alvise Cavanna kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Emanuele Castellani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Comunardo Di Cicco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Comunardo Finocchi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 24 played minutes Mortaiolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinando Cirelli. In the 26th minute of the match, Adriano Morini got a very nice opportunity to score, but Achille Vani was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Adriano Morini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Achille Vani was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Mortaiolo AFC's goalkeeper Achille Vani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florian De Bettin. With an all-out effort, Càtafório's Achille Vani threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adriano Morini, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Achille Vani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Morini in the 38th minute of play. Comunardo Di Cicco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Finocchi having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 52 minutes, Adriano Morini made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mortaiolo AFC's Achille Vani tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mortaiolo AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Càtafório. Federico Sforza stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Achille Vani. 2-1. In the 61st minute Adriano Morini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Vani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes, Càtafório's Fabio Tocci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Achille Vani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Càtafório reached it. Florian De Bettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Vani having to interfere. In the 75th minute Comunardo Di Cicco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Finocchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Achille Vani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian De Bettin in the 78th minute of the match. Emanuele Castellani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Finocchi having to interfere. When Comunardo Di Cicco came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Mortaiolo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Comunardo Di Cicco couldn't finish the play. If Emanuele Castellani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alberto Ciccone came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Càtafório fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Ciccone couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
