An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Pozzoli in the 6th minute of play forced San Benigno AFC's goalkeeper Ettore Proietto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Gargallo's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Nelli came free, but Emiliano Madaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Andrea Madaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Benigno AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 41st minute, Federico Di Claudio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Federico Di Claudio hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Dino Arcari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Proietto having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dino Nelli to strike the kick off in the second half.
