With a little luck, Villamarina's Franco Tesone got control of the ball when Demetrio Mangione tried to sneak it across the goal line. But to his dismay, Ernesto Bertoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 32nd match minute, Villamarina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Corsi to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristoforo Spitaleri was the one to do the kick off. Ernesto Bertoni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Aurelio Caroli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villamarina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Caroli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Aurelio Caroli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 played minutes Villamarina got a freekick which was hit by Carter Del Papa. Franco Tesone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Spitaleri in the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sorbo FC's zone, Aurelio Caroli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. If Cristoforo Spitaleri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demetrio Mangione sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sorbo FC's Demetrio Mangione got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Demetrio Mangione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Tesone having to interfere. Cristoforo Spitaleri struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Franco Tesone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorbo FC. When Demetrio Mangione came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sorbo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Demetrio Mangione couldn't finish the play. Franco Tesone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Spitaleri in the 96th minute of the match.
