Cristoforo Zulli made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Davide Lio sent off a good shot on target. Davide Lio struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Cristoforo Zulli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mattarello AFC. In the 9th minute, Davide Lio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristoforo Zulli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Bruno's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes, Ercole Tedeschi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mattarello AFC and the Arnate AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 15 minutes into the game, Ettore Colelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Francesco Lizzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute of the match Alberto Fabiani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristoforo Zulli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Edoardo Giorda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francesco Lizzi skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Mattarello AFC defense, Ettore Colelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francesco Lizzi. The Mattarello AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francesco Lizzi should have stopped the shot. When Arnate AFC's Attilio Salvadore in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mattarello AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When Filippo Albanesi fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mattarello AFC's protests and gave Filippo Albanesi a yellow card for diving instead. Filippo Albanesi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Arnate AFC's Ettore Colelli got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mattarello AFC! Alfredo Bruno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Zulli having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Arnate AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anfilogino Di Camillo to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute, Davide Lio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mattarello AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

If Attilio Salvadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ettore Colelli struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Francesco Lizzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Colelli in the 64th minute of the match. If Ettore Colelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, Mattarello AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camillo Fino to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Edoardo Giorda sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mattarello AFC's Francesco Lizzi didn't even have to move. After having played for 77 minutes, Ettore Colelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arnate AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ettore Colelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 played minutes Mattarello AFC got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Fino. Edoardo Giorda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Filippo Albanesi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Cristoforo Zulli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnate AFC's Cristoforo Zulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Lio in the 99th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
