After 34 played minutes Vimercate got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Rosati. Enzo Scannella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Busillo in the 38th minute of play. In the 58th minute Carmine Granati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Tassotti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Andrea Tardelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cazzago FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Angelo Tassotti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Volpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Dino Colucci kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match.
