After 11 minutes, Franco Balzani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Masio AFC and the Ciola players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Masi got free with Cosimo Di Cola in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Cosimo Di Cola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Flavio Masi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cosimo Di Cola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Orecchioni in the 21st minute of the match. Amedeo Lattanzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Anselmo Manzoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Flavio Masi made the kick off in the second half. The corner led Ciola's Cesare Apolloni to fire away a dangerous shot which Cosimo Di Cola despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosimo Masi in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Manzoni saved Ciola from getting behind. Alvaro Cardella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Anselmo Manzoni made a huge save. Anselmo Manzoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Masi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
