Attilio Labate charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Attilio Labate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Seveso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Seveso's Eraldo Tucci got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Voltabarozzo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fortunato Taurino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camillo Ursini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Comunardo Spinosa fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seveso's protests and gave Comunardo Spinosa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Seveso's Comunardo Spinosa got a free kick in the 84th minute. Cesare Brunetta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Vago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Berardo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camillo Ursini saved Seveso from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Melito got free with Donato Vago in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Voltabarozzo FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Seveso's performance. The match ended with a win for Seveso.
