After having played for 48 minutes, Florian Di Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poggio Superiore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Di Monte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Costa FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florian Di Monte made a kick off. Enrico Luciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Di Monte, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 54 minutes, Fabiano Fortunato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa FC and the Poggio Superiore players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Costa FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Fortunato. If Alfonso Onori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the game, Dennis Graziano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poggio Superiore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa FC the free kick. 68 minutes into the match, Poggio Superiore's goalkeeper Arrigo Rapone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Onori. Florian Di Monte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 74 minutes on the clock, Alessandro Mosca commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.
