If Dave Pennetta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Castiglione FC's Frank Busillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anselmo Sabatini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th minute Dave Pennetta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Sabatini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 51st minute, Domenico Cacciatore made a precise shot to the right of Fausto Coviello. Castiglione FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 58th minute, Dave Pennetta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Origgio AFC's Enzo Cesareo got a free kick in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Frank Busillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anselmo Sabatini. Origgio AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Busillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Origgio AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domenico Cacciatore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Coviello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Busillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
