Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernesto Angelini started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Birandola got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Latini. In the 15th minute Andrea Iacovone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Gaspari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ennio De Marchi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Capone having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Ernesto Angelini made a precise shot to the right of Claudio Capone. Savio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Comunardo Latini's late challenge caught a Savio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Comunardo Latini helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Birandola got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Latini. If Edmondo Zoccali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmondo Zoccali who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Damiano Gaspari when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Birandola's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edmondo Zoccali fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Edmondo Zoccali's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Damiano Gaspari skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Ennio De Marchi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birandola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ennio De Marchi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Edmondo Zoccali came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Savio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmondo Zoccali couldn't finish the play. Andrea Iacovone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Gaspari having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Savio's zone, Aurelio Di Giuseppe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Capone came out of the goal and Aurelio Di Giuseppe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Flavio Pich hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes Savio got a freekick which was hit by Franco Flocco. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Savio! The referee gave Birandola a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Flavio Pich, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Savio's Claudio Capone. 0-2. Ennio De Marchi might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Capone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ennio De Marchi ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudio Capone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Angelini in the 61st minute of the match. Savio's Edmondo Zoccali got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmondo Zoccali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Birandola booed when Savio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinando Moscatelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birandola's Ernesto Angelini got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Birandola's goalkeeper Damiano Gaspari, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Edmondo Zoccali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Di Giuseppe kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Damiano Gaspari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmondo Zoccali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudio Capone made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Ennio De Marchi sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute of the match, Ernesto Angelini tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudio Capone saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 88th minute of the game, Ferdinando Moscatelli landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Comunardo Latini got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Birandola's Comunardo Latini got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute Savio were awarded a corner. Franco Flocco went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Franco Flocco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Damiano Gaspari quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Edmondo Zoccali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Gaspari having to interfere. 99 minutes into the match, Birandola's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Iacovone came free, but Damiano Gaspari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chants of Birandola echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Savio had held the ball for most of the match.
